Bullfrog Facts

A bullfrog is a very weird animal to study. It looks like a shaped green blob with legs. It looks like its eyes pop out at you. It has brown spots and its back is all brown. Well, it isn’t all brown. The brown is the spots on the back. Its ears are located behind its eyes. It can hear like a dog. It can hear if danger is near to protect its young. Its legs are extremely strong and can jump about 6 feet in length. " sound that Bullfrogs are territorial and work hard to protect there space.
The name bullfrog is derived from the "bull-like bellowing" sound that chorusing male bullfrogs.
It can eat things like snakes, birds and anything it can swallow. Did you know a bullfrog’s tongue is forked (split) at the end? When it attacks it’s pray each part of its tongue wraps around it. It sucks its tongue in and chews. The bullfrog’s teeth are found in the roof of the mouth that allows to catch pray.
Bullfrogs live on the East cost of America and around the edges of America and from the cold of Canada to the sunny happy Florida. It lives near lakes and swamps.
This animal does not have any natural predators. Know why? Bullfrogs have a unpleasant taste.(things that try to eat it spit it out)
Do you think a bullfrog changes? Well it does. At first a frog is called a tadpole.
Then it grows feet and becomes a bullfrog. It lays its eggs and it goes all over again.
(Tip: Bullfrog tad poles often remain in the tadpole form for up to
(Tip: A female frog can lay up to 25,000 eggs a day.)
